Recovered Peter Zeimet story arc — May through July 2007.
At the end of May 2007, Peter started sending me a running commentary about a house he had found in Sun Valley, Nevada. He liked that it was a ranch-style house high on a mountain near open desert and mustang range.
Within a day, he had gone from looking to making an offer, contingent on the family ranch sale closing.
He was also already planning the yard. First he asked whether a six-foot garden alligator would look strange in a desert garden. Then he proposed a herd of plastic pink flamingos.
By mid-June he was still sending neighborhood photos and talking about the house as the one he was “hopefully getting.” The open land nearby came with wild mustangs, coyotes, snakes and raccoons.
I guess the cats will be staying inside.
On July 5, Peter sent an address update confirming the move. He had gotten the house.
The detailed listing, neighborhood photographs, ranch-sale correspondence and move information remain preserved in the underlying source drafts.
