Today’s student email began:
“I don’t know where my brain went the other day…”
The brain, apparently, had wandered off just long enough to schedule a work meeting during our class.
Not just any class. The once-a-week class.
Not just any day. Presentation day.
So I got to send one of those professor emails that is technically professional but spiritually just says, “Friend. No.”
As we only meet once a week, I explained, it is really important to schedule around class — especially when you have a presentation that morning that cannot be made up.
Somewhere out there, I hope that brain eventually found its way home.
