Life With Boys

The mis-adventures of two crazy boys and their bleary eyed parents.

Solomon Family Research — Shereiele, Jerry, and Jim

Recovered Solomon family-history research — August 2014. This consolidates three related discoveries while deliberately excluding private contact details, account credentials, and Social Security numbers from the WordPress copy.

Shereiele M. Solomon — Grave Located

On August 30, 2014, Mike Brophy reported that he had uploaded a photograph and GPS coordinates for Shereiele M. Solomon’s grave. He identified the location as Section 1, Grave G05. Danielle replied that the find had “solved yet another mystery” in her work reconstructing AraBelle’s World War II years and the baby she had lost in Hawaii.

Jerry Solomon — Cremation Record Clarified

Find A Grave volunteers clarified that Jerry Lee Solomon had been cremated at Grand View but that no niche or marked gravesite had been purchased. The volunteer suggested recording that he was cremated there and buried in an unrecorded, unmarked location in the cemetery per family request.

Jim Solomon — Military Records and Family Contact

Danielle and Jim Solomon were also exchanging military-research information. Danielle had located service details for James L. Solomon and directed Jim to the National Archives military-record request process, specifically hoping the file might contain evidence that James had been hospitalized in Hawaii. The correspondence also confirms that Danielle planned to send Jim a disc of family material that was too large to email.

By September 2014, Danielle and Jim were still in contact, and Jim was sharing writing with her for feedback. The family-history connection that began with the 2011 “half-niece” email had become an ongoing exchange.

About Me

I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week.  Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
