By law we are supposed to wear clothes made of fabric resistant to flames and the pockets, headgear etc. have to be sewn in a manner to not harbor buildup in corners that can spread bacteria. It is not such a big deal once open, but I have to have them when being inspected. So, if I have to buy the stuff, it may as well look good. They are god awful expensive. - pz
