I can probably find out from Les. She grew up in Pringle and met some the people many times more than I ever did. This was a family reunion in the 60’s. and I was only in something like the second grade. Many of the people came that NEVER were around on any regular basis and it may have well been the only time I ever saw some of this crew.

WHEN FRANK BRADY DIED SHORTLY AFTER THIS PHOTO, WE NEVER SAW ANY OF THEM AGAIN. Mary Ellen had 10 kids and no husband. They lived in Spearfish. There was not a family problem, we just did not see them as the poor gal was inundated with kids and caring for Aunt Lizzie who lived with them. Mary Ellen was Lizzie Zeimet-Retzlough’s daughter. She was raised in Pringle on the ranch portion just sold by Les Zeimet-Seney on Oct. 19th, 2010…….. and really was like a sister to the Zeimet bunch. She would drop Aunt Lizzie off in Rapid and Ida/Mary would bring her down for holidays. One of the unknowns in the back row may be a Retzlough, but I just do not know. If you would like, I can cal Les in Rapid City to find out the unknown people. – pz
January 9, 2021 — Jo Zeimet on the Frye relationship
Jo clarified that Bill Frye was Peter Zeimet’s cousin. Because Bill was older, Jo and the family called him “Uncle Bill.” She remembered that Bill spoke well at Peter’s funeral.
Jo said Bill and his brother Morey were the sons of Floyd and Ruby Frye. Floyd ran a mining operation and Ruby was the postmistress in Pringle for many years. Jo also remembered that Grandma Zeimet raised a couple of the Frye children, though she did not know why.
Jo thought Ruby was Grandma Zeimet’s sister, but explicitly said she was not certain and offered to search Peter’s genealogy papers. Preserve that relationship as a family-memory lead until it can be verified against records.
