Original subject: “the maids”
Date: December 1, 2010
THIS WAS AT YOUR GRANDPARENTS WEDDING. LEFT TO RIGHT IS MARY ZEIMET, LEAH ZEIMET, IDA ZEIMET AND BONNIE ZEIMET-JEWETT. They were a rather stiff bunch of gals. The first three were all old maids. Leah Zeimet was engaged to Earl Giles. He eloped with her sister Inice and Leah sort of became a Ruby Red Dress. She moved from Igloo/Edgemont back to the Zeimet store and rarely left Pringle. I think maybe only a few times until her death. Oddly, Inice died shortly before that. Inice had 3 abortions as she went nuts when finding out she was expecting. They lived in Caldwell, Idaho and in those days getting a legal pretty hard in a conservative state. She must have been a total basket case. I am including a video link to the Ruby Red Dress Song. When we were driving back to Edgemont from Leah’s funeral, the 8 track tape was playing in my old Thunderbird It had that song on it. I remember your grandfather Zeimet saying it fit Leah Zeimet to a tee……… she was undoubtedly the most stubborn of all but was a broken lady after Earl dumped her for her stylish blonde syster. – pz
