Life With Boys

The mis-adventures of two crazy boys and their bleary eyed parents.

St. Paddy’s Day Parade Here We Come …

Recovery placeholder — original Blogger body still missing.

An original Blogger comment notification confirms that this Life With Boys post existed in March 2008 with the title “St. Paddy’s Day Parade Here We Come …”.

Verified original Blogger URL:

What survives

On March 28, 2008, Natalie Jo commented: “what a fun time! So good to see pictures of your sis, diana, and tracy! i need a few funny stories posted. I know that with tracy invovled there is always something funny… that girl makes me laugh!”

A March 15 email from a friend confirms Danielle and Mindy were already in Jackson for the Sweet Potato Queens event and refers to the parade and other festivities.

Two post-trip Kodak Gallery shares also survive:

  • March 18, 2008 — “SPQ Photos”: Danielle shared one Kodak Gallery album titled “Sweet Potato Queen’s.”
  • March 19, 2008 — “Michelle’s SPQ photos”: Michelle shared a second one-album Kodak Gallery collection.

The Kodak Gallery URLs no longer return recoverable images through the current archive/web searches, and no downloaded album copy was found in the connected Drive backup.

Related surviving SPQ media: A separate April 12, 2008 Blogger post preserves Danielle’s SharedBook trip-album URL (http://www.sharedbook.com/serve/album.php?id=1057266&owner=1&skin=2&site=us), and a surviving March 15 post retains same-weekend Blogger image references for DSC05614.JPG, DSC05624.JPG, and DSC05625.JPG. These are verified media from the same SPQ weekend, but they are not assumed to be the exact images used in this missing post.

Recovery work completed

  • Gmail searched for the exact title, Blogger URL, SPQ/parade correspondence, comments, and photo-share messages.
  • WordPress checked for a differently titled copy.
  • Google Drive searched for the exact title/URL, Kodak album identifiers, SPQ images, SPQ folders, and all folders named “2008.”
  • The raw Facebook export was checked for the exact Blogger URL/title; no copy of the post body appeared.
  • Live web and Wayback-index searches for the Blogger and Kodak URLs returned no archived copy.

Status: title, original URL, trip context, people referenced in the surviving comment, and two related photo-album shares are verified. The original Blogger prose and the 2008 Kodak album images remain unrecovered. No story text has been reconstructed or invented.

Final source audit — October 1, 2026: Gmail, the surviving Blogger comment trail, related SPQ correspondence, WordPress chronology, connected Drive archives, and direct public-web checks were rechecked. The trip is well documented and related SPQ media survives elsewhere, but no source preserves this post’s original prose or proves its exact image set. Treat this as a source-exhausted recovery placeholder unless a new offline archive or old local backup is discovered.

About Me

I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week.  Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
