Truman, Truman. His last couple of blood tests were good, indicate that his kidneys and liver survived. Next week’s test will indicate if he’s out of the woods for kidney/liver stuff. His ulcerated stomach is now the biggest concern; apparently the ulcers may perforate. Won’t know on ulcer healing for 3-4 weeks.
So bland diet, and no no no he won’t eat the case of canned ID the vet told us to feed him. That would be the only thing on the earth Goat-boy won’t eat. Won’t eat it in chicken broth, off a spoon, and will spit like a camel if force fed ID. So he’s eating lovely home-made chicken broth, steamed turkey medallions, cottage cheese, and boiled sweet potatoes. Meds with a spoonful of yogurt.
Moving: Sue used the phrase “slit my wrists” and “another winter” in the same sentence several times, so I knew it was time to go back home. We are moving to Boulder, have already bought a house. We have wanted to downsize, and so we are.
