Recovered family correspondence — March 5, 2007.
While reviewing Danielle’s draft family-history introduction, Peter Zeimet corrected part of the story.
You are good with words. I somehow do not remember the “she fell in love with the milkman”. She married the milkman and Jim Solomon was a patient in the hospital and he married the nurse. I think after that bitter situation love was totally impossible. Events were possible, but not love ever again.
But, I am sure my parents were not ever loving toward each other in any manner. (if they were it went away faster than a common cold) They were marginal as just roommates. It was a pretty sterile environment. It was better that way or it was excessively hostile. They sort of settled for the sterile as it was less destructive.
