Jo asked whether I had read or seen From Nightingale to Eagle: An Army Nurse’s History, noting that it covered the same World War II period and referenced the head nurse connected to the Pearl Harbor nursing story. She offered to acquire a copy if I was interested.
The original email also included a long excerpt from a separate historical source about Army nurses at Pearl Harbor. That copied excerpt is not reproduced here; the useful recovery lead is Jo’s recommendation and the title of the book she thought might help the Grandma Project.
