More lessons learned the hard way …
Lessons learned the hard way lately … The part for the electric train was 40 cents, labor $50 — lesson learned (by Matt this time) ask about price before agreeing to have train fixed. This is a long story — you see my parents bought Tyler and Taylor trains when they were about 2 years… Continue reading

Happy Birthday to Tyler …
Tyler turns 7 today! I’m really weirded out about this. Last night I made Matt hook up the camera so I could watch the video of when he was born and it all seems surreal. Even more so ’cause my Mom and Dad meeting Tyler was at the end of it. It was almost too… Continue reading

Hawaii Album …
Media-recovery record — original post confirmed. “Hawaii Album …” is preserved in the late-2008 FeedBlitz trail as an original Blogger post. The surviving source preserves the title and URL but not the album itself. This is treated as a lost album/media embed rather than an assumed missing prose story. Date note: November 2008 is verified… Continue reading

Can’t we just go to the movies, just once?
Why do I even think that we could go to a movie like a typical family? Find our seats … eat a little popcorn … enjoy the show … it’s just not going to happen in my lifetime, I fear. We took the boys to see a movie at the theater. First dilemma: one boy… Continue reading

It’s all a matter of semantics …
A few days after Halloween (yes I know I’ve got a time delay on posting this, but get over it) Morgan was counting his loot — one snickers bar, two snickers bar, one jaw breaker, two jaw breakers, one spicy human, two spicy humans — spicy human is Morgan for Sour Patch kids in case… Continue reading

Our monthly routine …
Seems that not a month goes by without a visit to our Pediatrician — this month being no exception. (Morgan has a sinus infection and Tyler is running a pretty high fever which I thought was related to the flu shot — more on that episode later — but it’s not). Anyway after destroying the… Continue reading

Checking in — November 2008
First things first — I have been officially accepted for Graduate School — just got the official letter today. (Can the person who left the comment about grants and calling the dean please let me know who it is I’m to call?) Second — I’m pretty much off all meds in hopes of “resetting” my… Continue reading

Gladys Murphy Nance Oser — First-Person Family Memoir
Recovered Oser family-history source — five-page typed memoir scanned and emailed to Danielle on November 3, 2008. Gladys says in the text that she researched her birth record in the summer of 1985, so the memoir was written in or after 1985. This is a best-effort transcription from the surviving scan. Obvious typewriter overstrikes are… Continue reading
About Me
I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week. Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
