SUNDAY
We went to summer Camp at camp Arrow Head! It was a 3 hour drive to a place we had never been to before. On the way down I rode with my mom, my brother Tyler, and a kid named Connor. We also listened to Harry Potter on the way down, and we ate at Taco Bell.
When we got there we were taken on a tour of the camp. The staff also taught us most of the rules there. Dominic and I decided to tent together. After that everyone taking an aquatics merit badge did the swim test. I was the first one to take the swim test and I passed which meant I could take my small boat sailing class. When I got back I unpacked. After about an hour we had dinner. Then I talked with my friend and played cards. Eventually we had a camp fire where the staff preformed skits and sang songs. When it was finally over we went to bed.
MONDAY
We woke up at 6:30. After breakfast I went to small boat sailing where we went over safety things, knots, gear, nautical terms and more! The things I remember most from those classes were the 5 rules:
Don’t die.
Look good.
If you must die look good while doing it.
Don’t flirt with the female staff. They’re tougher than you.
Don’t flirt with the male staff. Just don’t!
My next class was pottery where we made pots, choose our mold, made stuff, and more. In my free time I made a narwhal that was 4 in. long and 1 in. thick at the head and ¾ cm thick at the tail. After that I had lunch and 5 mins. of free time before my next class, archery. In archery we spent half the time on safety and half the time shooting. Our goal was to score 160 points in 30 shots at far and long targets. I came close but missed by 20 points. When I got back to camp I worked on wood carving, metal work, and talked to my friends. When that was over we went to dinner and had a great time! When we got back to camp I carved more and then went to bed.
