Lessons from COVID … I am finally returning to normal-ish after a visit from our dreaded plague companion … during my lockdown I learned … your vacation my not turn out as originally planned … you can order Gatorade from Amazon … remembering to wear your mask inside at 3 am so you can go get another glass of water is a necessary evil … the lengths my husband will go to to keep us all safe and fed … the constant companionship of two worried cats is a welcome distraction … that frozen grapes require forethought … how endearing and uplifting a lip sync performance of the Pitch Perfect finale is to my soul … how greatful I am for vaccines (this could have been much worse) … porch fairy deliveries are amazing … that you can get home test kits from your pharmacy with your insurance … how lucky I was to have had a brief respite from the heat … that the WiFi signal upstairs is iffy … the importance of flexibility … that I don’t wish this on anyone, be safe, wash your hands … and remember there will be another side to this pandemic someday … #bekind #bepatient #persevere
