Big news for Morgan: the college acceptances have started arriving.
On October 20, he was admitted to Missouri University of Science and Technology. The congratulations email from the chancellor welcomed him to the Miner family. After all of the years of Scouts, STEM projects, engineering interests and trying to figure out what comes next, it was a very real college option on the table.
The next morning, October 21, Iowa State University sent its admission decision.
Then on October 26, Mizzou’s message was even more concise:
“You’re in.”
Three acceptances in less than a week.
College suddenly feels very real.
April 2022 update: The choice became real. On April 13, Iowa State Engineering was already sending Morgan computer recommendations and telling him to prepare for his “Iowa State engineering adventure.” Two days later, Missouri S&T acknowledged his request to withdraw. Morgan had made his college decision: Iowa State.
