We took Tyler to college.
The night before, I summed it up in one line:
“We are taking Tyler to college tomorrow — ugh.”
Barbara remembered that transition well from dropping Billy off at school. After seeing Tyler settled in, she wrote:
“Pat yourselves on the back. Huge accomplishment and he looks like he’s right where he belongs.”
She reminded us that he would come home, that we would see him grow, and that this was how it was supposed to happen.
My answer was probably the only answer I had in 2020:
“I know we will all be adjusting for a bit … COVID does not help the situation much … but we just keep swimming.”
