Apparently I am taking over another class.

The Intro to Visual Communication course at Webster needed a mid-semester handoff. The class had already had a rocky start, and the students were understandably worried about where they were in the course.

My first response was practical:

“If you can get me the materials you have developed, syllabus, etc ASAP I will be able to get a better handle on the situation.”

And then to Webster: “Can you get me added to the Canvas course?”

The handoff included Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, quizzes, projects, rubrics, tutorials and an entire semester already in motion.

March 27 update: After taking over the course, I rebuilt the syllabus and course content around what the students still needed. Gary’s response: “Thanks for updating the course content and syllabus. It looks great to me.” One tiny problem remained — I had left the old ADVT 3500 number in the red banner instead of ADVT 2350.
