Question – Tyler is working on his letters of recommendation part for the rank application and we are a bit hesitant about the one from a religious perspective. We do not attend church on a regular basis and the boys were not baptized or christened – and thus do not have God parents. I am sure we are not the first ones to encounter this situation- any tips on how they handled it?

I think all Tyler needs is someone to vouch for his religious beliefs, can be anyone other than you are Matt. I don’t think it also needs to into any formal detail, just support of the “Scout is Reverent” portion of the Scout Law.
