I read the email I sent and I hope it did not offend you. Of course I know you are aware of the economic situation. Most people do not know what is happening in Nevada. Our situation here is STILL in the process of collapse.
Part of it is the economy and the rest is the republican party trying to get Harry Reid removed. The delegates in Washington D.C. are talking to the big companies and convincing them to cancel major conventions, which just destroys this state. They are happy to see Nevada collapse just to get rid of Reid. It makes me sick. But, they have done so and our republican delegates have jumped on board with the G.O.P.
It seems impossible that could happen, but it has. With Nevada having only 2 "destinations" and the real money being from large corporate conventions, the connected republican delegation can indeed take us down. Two destinations is not a hard thing to destroy when a select group of people have direct lines to 99% or corporate America
. Reno and Vegas are vulnerable and Obama did not help, either. He bad mouthed Nevada when banks on bailout money held meetings here. Then, when General Motors had a convention here with dealers, he did the same thing again. Later he did apologize, but it was back page news and not very well publicized. The slams Obama gave Nevada caused almost 2,000 coventions to be cancelled statewide within days of his blabber. WITHIN DAYS.......... IT WAS DUE TO HIS BIG MOUTH. COMPANIES WERE SCARED TO BOOK HERE AND VIRTUALLY EVERY CONVENTION LAST YEAR WAS CANCELLED BECAUSE OF HIS MOUTH. They estimate that was the final straw and about 60,000 people lost their jobs within 90 days. Harry Reid said NOTHING to defend us. I will vote for him as Sharron Angle (tera party) is a nut job. He has been very weak for Nevada.
Only Shelley Berkley opened her mouth.............. AND SHE NAMED NAMES, too. But, no media coverage was given. The republican congressmen call her the old Jewish Bitch and laugh at her right on the floor.
The lie machine is so good that most residents here do not even realize what is going on. If they decided to attack Boeing, I am sure they could make it fail, too. That would kabosh your life. But, Boeing thankfully is not their target.
After Obama stuck his foot in it, the republicans have been going full tilt to keep Nevada down. Even local conventions (like Nevada State Troopers) are booking in other states for training seminars. Our republican governor has cancelled every single in state function. He did lose in the primary for a second nomination. They want Reid out so badly, it is disgusting when even the governor jumps on board. But, facts are facts and so far, they have been winning. - pz
