I’ve
been watching The War with great interest. Ken Burns is really a master,
and that is a heckuva story.
But I
have a question — your info about mom indicates she was writing in an Army
diary thing before Dec. 7. I remember her talking about showing up at
Pearl Harbo area around Dec.4, and I didn’t think she was in the army before the
Japanese attack. She used to tell a story about a sergeant showing up at
her hotel room and he’d packed her up and she was “inducted.” Mom had
pretty good recall of the past, but exact dates and details floated and always
became more interesting with the telling. As every good story teller
does.
What’s
the accurate chrono? thanks
