Recovered family correspondence — January 8, 2007.
I thought a lot about Lani the last couple of weeks. One of the thoughts that made me laugh was, God must have wanted someone to make brownies at 3 in the morning, as she was wont to do.
Another was, she must have known she had a short run, and that’s why she burned her wick brighter than almost anyone else.
Anyway, also thought of you and Mindy. As the Friends say, held you in the light.
