Life With Boys

The mis-adventures of two crazy boys and their bleary eyed parents.

  • There’s Water In the Water …

We took the boys on the Grafton Ferry to meet Grandma and Grandpa at the Finn Inn for lunch. (Finn Inn is known for their 10,000 gallons of fish tanks and GIANT fish!)Morgan’s exclamation while aboard the Ferry “Mom, look, there’s is water in the water.” Continue reading

  • We Changed Our Minds … We Want To Take The Car …

I’ve once again proven that I can get lost in a box. I am obviously missing the “where is North and don’t you know you’ve been walking in a circle” gene. Once again I decided to walk the boys to the library and Walgreen’s. You’d think I’d learn, but no. About a quarter of the… Continue reading

  • So, How Do You Get Blue Bubble Bath Out Of The Carpet?

So just how are you supposed to get blue bubble bath that looks like a large melted blue raspberry icee was hit by a small atomic bomb out of the carpet?Let me back up a little. Every night I go over “the rules” with Tyler before bed.“Is it time to get toys out?” No.“Is it… Continue reading

  • Clearly I’ve been watching too much TV …

Not sure what I’m watching to fall into the it’s time to start thinking about retirement and did you know the average funeral today is between seven to ten thousand dollars demographic — but I have — repeatedly. I told Matt that if he spent that kind of money I would be really upset. I… Continue reading

  • 3.5 minutes …

  • More reasons why Pa Pa is cooler than Mom …

As if the list isn’t long enough already … Yesterday Mike was brave enough to do something I never am — take the kids to Chuck-E-Cheese BY HIMSELF! This of course was after they had been to the mall, rode the merry-go-round and the trains and conquered the indoor playground. (On a good day we… Continue reading

  • Outside it’s hotter than the sun …

Inside my office is colder than Pluto! I kid you not — I even saw someone with a turtleneck on today! (And Matt wonders why I don’t wear skirts?!) July and August remind me why it was nice to live in Utah. The rest of the year reminds me why it’s nice not to live… Continue reading

  • A little tech lesson for my readers …

OK — I’m going to assume someone out there is reading this random collection of this and that — and knowing that I post with little regularity, let me let you in on a tip …If you scroll down to the bottom of the page there is a box that says “subscribe me” if you… Continue reading

  • Matt’s Got A New Baby …

Well after what seems like months of endless research, comparison shopping, consumer reporting and generally driving me out of my mind — Matt’s finally traded in the green, hail-dented, mirror lacking, can’t go from zero to sixty in five minutes, non-air conditioned truck. We finally decided on the Toyota Tacoma Prerunner that better last a really,… Continue reading

  • So how does that work?

OK — When my Dad marries Marilyn (which is only a matter of time now I think) I’ll have both a step-brother and a step-sister. How does that work? Continue reading

About Me

I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week.  Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
