Happy Halloween! — 2006
A very happy Halloween from Tyler (the puppy) and Morgan (the gorilla). Of course we were finished Trick-Or-Treating by 6 p.m. so on a whim we drove up to Carlinville (about 1.5 hours) to surprise Matt’s parents — and they were happily surprised. Continue reading

In search of the most sincere pumpkin …
OK — we took the boys to the pumpkin patch — of course forgetting it had been raining for a week and pumpkin patches tend to be a bit muddy. But on we trek. And it seems we weren’t the only ones with the bright idea to head over to the pumpkin patch — they… Continue reading

Here In Cardinal Nation …
Four baseball fans-a Yankees fan, a Red Sox fan, a Mets fan, and a Cardinals fan – are climbing a mountain and arguing about who loves his team more. The argument goes on for some time, each fan insisting that he is the most loyal fan and the most devoted to his team. The Yankees… Continue reading

Daddy, has Fulda made it up to the clouds yet?
Yesterday we said goodbye to Fulda. It seems his 12-year-old kidneys just couldn’t do it anymore, so I took him in to put him to sleep yesterday morning. And The Inevitable Happens …
The blow out I knew was coming has been here and in its wake I’m feeling dreadful, exhausted — relieved. It’s like knowing the worst is going to happen and almost being glad that it is finally over — but I’m guessing it’s not (over that is.) And you’ll never guess what we’re arguing about.… Continue reading

To Utah I Will Go …
I’m headed to Utah this afternoon — not sure how I feel about it though. Dad’s acting all cagey — like he needs to tell me something — but do I really want to know? I’ve been set in my head that this will be a work trip (work to get some more of my… Continue reading
About Me
I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week. Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
