The Elementary school held a Veteran’s Day performance, each grade performing some kind of song.
Morgan’s class did “You’re A Grand Old Flag” while the second grade performed the “Navy Ham” (You know “Anchor’s aweigh my boys, Anchor’s aweigh”)
There is no telling that boy that it’s a hymn, not a ham.
“But you’re wrong Mom, the principal said it that way.”
This made me smile! It reminds me of when I was about 2 years old. I had a lot of trouble saying words that started with “T.” The “T” came out “F.” You can imagine my good Christian mother's dismay whenever I saw a truck, because I would yell, “Look mommy, there's a …”
I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week. Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
