Turns out Tyler’s sore throat last week was probably step and since I didn’t catch it in time, it turned into a slight case of scarlet fever which sounds worse than it is, but still CAN’T SOMEONE MAKE ALL OF THIS SICKNESS STOP?! Haven’t we had more than our share?
The treatment is more antibiotics, lots of laundry and keeping Morgan away.
Also good to note, untreated strep can also cause Rheumatic Fever.
Now that is your medical lesson for the day.
Ohhh noo!!! I had scarlet fever in college from the same thing. The worst I have ever felt in my life. Aveno makes a great oatmeal bath that helped a ton with the itching. This sounds really gross but a tomotoe juice bath will also help take the itching away too. Good luck I hope he gets better too. You take care too because it can be really contagious. My boyfriend at the time got it from me!!!!
I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week. Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
