OK — Matt and I are having a debate — does the Easter Bunny hide the eggs you colored or bring different eggs? And if he brings different eggs — what happens to the ones you colored?

In our family, the Easter Bunny hid our Easter baskets (which contained the eggs we had colored, plus additional surprises). You wouldn’t think a whole big basket would be a challenge to find, but our Bunny was particularly devious. Memorable spots include: in the dryer, up the chimney, behind a fortress of cereal boxes in the cabinet, hanging up in the closet under a coat.

I think it really changed for me each year growing up, which may explain why I am so confused. Sometimes the eggs were hidden in the back yard, sometimes in the house, and I remember at least one time in the front yard. I think some years my parents hid them, some years the Easter Bunny did, but the strange thing is that they were the same plastic eggs each year. Verrrrry interesting… I think the best years were the ones when the neighborhood association did a joint hunt with real eggs. Yeah, those were cool, except when a boy knocks a girl’s basket and the eggs fall out and break and life-altering and childhood-memory-scarring crying ensues. That’s bad. My recommendation is just for consistency. If the EB hides them one year, then Mom and Dad don’t do it next year.>>-Seth
About Me
I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week. Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
