OK — it has a name Oxacillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (OSRA) — this strain has been conquered by the drug she is on now Vancomycin. (She’s been on it for about 20 hours now.)
It is infections and now to go see her we wear gowns and gloves and need to launder everything she’s or we’ve been in contact with. And take extra precautions to make sure we don’t bring it home to the kidos.
In other news — her right lung has collapsed they inserted a chest tube this morning. There is a chance they will have to do it on the left side also, but so far, so good.
They tell us not to lose hope. That we need to give the medicine more time to do the job it is designed to do. And we will.
Gotta get back.
