Life With Boys

The mis-adventures of two crazy boys and their bleary eyed parents.

  • The Great Bird Debate …

On our way into the library today after a napless afternoon, Tyler heard a bird. T: “What’s that?” Me: “It’s a bird.” T: “What kind?” Me: “A crow I think” T: “No, it’s an eagle.” Me: “No, I really think it’s a crow.” T: “Its beak isn’t long enough to be a crow.” Continue reading

  • 1:39 a.m.

Tyler: “I (sob) had (sob) a (sob sob) bad dream.” Me: “It’s OK. What was your dream about?” Tyler: “I can’t talk about it right now.” Continue reading

  • I can fly …

Morgan thinks he’s invincible. And so far he’s been right. He takes flying leaps off, well everything, and even when he belly-flops on the floor he must not feel it because he does it again. Sometimes it’s from the coffee table onto the couch. Sometimes it’s a leap from one box to another. Each is… Continue reading

Mom is the one who makes them eat REAL food, spends time doing laundry, dragging them from grocery store to dry cleaners… Continue reading

  • And the silence if broken …

After the out of tune sing along we drove along in silence, mistakenly thinking the boys had fallen asleep when out of the backseat we hear, “My pee pee is sticking up.” Slightly shocked but not really me replies “Oh, that’s OK.” What am I supposed to say? Continue reading

  • Do, re, Me …

Matt loves to sing – sings all the time. This was particularly funny as when we were driving hope he tried to sing “When you wish upon a star” so out of tune and to add to the cacophony Tyler started a rousing rendition of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in his best toddler tune. And… Continue reading

  • Duh!

We’ve been going to see Ms. Jill to get haircuts since I moved to St. Louis. This time I was fortunate enough to bring Matt along for the juggling act. Tyler loves Ms. Jill. He know that Ms. Jill is the only one allowed to bring scissors anywhere near his head. So when Tyler ambled… Continue reading

About Me

I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week.  Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
