Life With Boys

The mis-adventures of two crazy boys and their bleary eyed parents.

  • I’m addicted ..

To eBay. I even have my own store. It’s come in handy as I’ve helped to break up some of Mom’s “collections” and the other items we’ve outgrown (toys, clothes, nursery stuff, VHS tapes — you name it.) And my in laws have done pretty well too! It just goes to prove one woman’s trash… Continue reading

  • We’re on our way …

We’re on our way — the second leg of our journey is drawing to a close and so far, so good — dare I write it? Morgan is passed out across the seats (the benadryl finally kicked in and getting up at 4:30 this morning helps too.) Tyler took a power nap as we landed… Continue reading

Can’t take credit for it, but like it nonetheless … Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of… Continue reading

  • Insure it to be sure to it gets broken …

As least 50 boxes of assorted stuff have come in from Utah throughout the year — and in every single box at least one item has been broken — several beyond repair — but it’s the ones that have been insured that are sure to come in at least 100 pieces. And making an insurance… Continue reading

  • Another forward worth sharing …

WHY I LOVE MOMMom and Dad were watching TV when Mom said, “I’m tired, and it’s getting late. I think I’ll go to bed.” She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day’s lunches. Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took meat out of the freezer for supper the following evening, checked the… Continue reading

  • Holiday Greeting 2006 …

Hello – How to start our letter this year? That is the question. 2006 has brought so many changes to our lives; it’s amazing when I look back on all of it. As many of you know, our year started on a down note with the sudden and unexpected passing of my Mom. Life without… Continue reading

  • The Boy Is 5

Tyler is officially 5 now — and the dinosaurs arrived in full-force. We can play Prehistoric Park to our hearts content now. Continue reading

  • A Shoot Gun ..

For several weeks when you asked Morgan what he wanted from Santa, he repeatedly answered “a shoot gun” (Matt says it’s a shooter gun, but I disagree.) We’ve redirected him to a dinosaur (’cause Santa can only be asked for ONE specific item) and he’s content with it for a minute anyway. Continue reading

  • Between Morgan and the toy …

What is with the toy companies? Do they really find it comical to see a parent get mauled by a toddler who wants his dinosaur RIGHT NOW! In case you haven’t been humiliated by a toy box lately let me tell you a secret — wire cutters. You see they stay so nicely posed in… Continue reading

About Me

I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week.  Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
