Have Pliers, Will Travel …
So, about 12:55 I get a message, “Hi, this is Michelle from the elementary school clinic and I have Tyler here and the wire from his braces is sticking out the wrong way.” Yes, somehow with only four brackets he managed to get the wire loose and the chain of rubber bands off. So I… Continue reading

Big Questions …
We’ve been working our way, a chapter at a time, through the Harry Potter series. We can’t get through a page without one of the boys stopping me, “but, wait, wait, I have a question.” I got to the point where I had enough, “Guys, can we make it through one page, please?” To which… Continue reading

Lessons Learned …
So yesterday I stayed home with Morgan who, as it turns out, has an antibiotic worthy ear infection. So off to the doctor we go. After the appointment I decided to make the most of our 20 non-raining minutes to move some plants around. This was the conversation between us: Morgan: Mom did you know the sun… Continue reading

Dream Pantry …
A few months ago it occurred to us (or rather a guest pointed it out) that there may be dead space in the wall of our pantry and I’m dying to poke a hole in there to find out. But I keep getting told “Quiet you.” Which of course is the WRONG answer. I’ve even… Continue reading

Nine is a big year …
This year Tyler has gotten glasses and today we started braces (I thought we were going in for a check-up) – so, by the time this hits all the rest of the kids his age he’ll be through it right?) FYI – He’ll start with 4 brackets and they will add them on as we… Continue reading
About Me
I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week. Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
