The boys are totally into Steampunk at present – it’s all things little gears. Which are sharp when you step on them (and can be found in bulk on ebay and etsy). And now I’ve found a book “Steampunkery” that mixes polymer clay and gears – here are a few of their current creations:
Dirigibles, zeppelins and blimps are next – they want me to buy a tank of helium so they can fly and stage a battle.
Steampunk defined: Steampunk is a subgenre of speculative fiction, usually set in an anachronistic Victorian or quasi-Victorian alternate history setting. It could be described by the slogan “What the past would look like if the future had happened sooner.” It includes fiction with science fiction, fantasy or horror themes.
