Life With Boys

The mis-adventures of two crazy boys and their bleary eyed parents.

It’s Official …

Grades are in and I am officially done with my Masters Degree in Mass Communication/Digital Media from Lindenwood University. Commencement is not until Mid-May, but it’s so nice to be done. I could have never done it without Matt’s help and relentless reminders that I had homework to do. The boys are looking forward to readjusting our schedule and for things to go back to “normal”ish. I’m not sure what the next steps will be just yet, and that is OK. I will continue to work on my Grandma book, I had made some really good progress until I had a technology meltdown.

I did hit a bump the day my Capstone project was due. That morning I went to print out my final presentation and paper and my external hard drive just blinked at me, taunting me, and doing nothing. Luckily I had emailed a copy out so I could come up with something to re-edit and turn in, but it was not a good morning. At this point a forensics person is trying to find out if anything can be recovered. I hope and pray that the technology angels are with me this time. I’m just sick about it. So, once again, I remind everyone to make back-ups of their back-ups. I had gotten some of it backed up online, but in the crush of classes and everything else I just didn’t get it done.

So here it is less than a week until Christmas and I can’t believe it! I still have some finishing up to do, but I’ll get there.Tyler and Morgan are out until the 4th and I’m sure we will be putting our NetFlix subscription to good use. (Via the streaming service we are now engrossed in Kung Foo Dino Posse – it’s quality stuff.) We are looking forward to spending the holiday here. Our door is always open if you want to stop by.

Will post more later, but I need to catch up on the laundry and finish putting up my Snowman tree (it’s spread all over the living room and I’m pretty sure Matt’s patience with me is just about up.)

About Me

I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week.  Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
