Life With Boys

The mis-adventures of two crazy boys and their bleary eyed parents.

OMG How are we at the end of July already?

I have no idea where the time is going … I just had one of those moments where I realized I’m wearing shoes, but I’m not certain how they got on my feet … does that give you any insight into my frame of mind.

Right now I’m on a break for my Internet Culture Class (my 4th of 6 to finish). Last quarter just about did my in, marketing with MBA students is a whole different ball of yarn. This quarter I can tell I’m in the IT department, there is only one other woman and we have several nationalities represented. It will be an interesting course, this professor is not like any of the others I have had so far.

The boys are home driving Matt crazy I’m sure with requests to play “Zombie Farm” a game on the iPod touch or asking for music that “rocks”. The top playlist right now would have to include Beat It (Michael Jackson) and the Devil Went Down To Georgia. This summer they have been busy with field trips with day care and a couple of weeks of art camp. If I ever get with it I’ll scan some of their masterpieces.

Soon we will be headed to see cousin Byron in Vancouver and that has been a frequent topic of discussion. Matt has been scouring the web for the best activities and I’m sure we’ll see all there is worth seeing. We’ll hardly be home a week and they will be starting school (8/11). Now if only the magic cleaning fairy would cast a spell upon my house while we are away and magically make all the dust, dirt and grime disappear. (a girl can dream can’t she?)

As many of you know, my sister Mindy has had a very rough year and I’ve been preoccupied with her predicament. But I think there will be a light at the end of the tunnel and I’m so proud of how far she has come. It’s not been easy for her and there isn’t much I can do to help, which is frustrating.

OK — class is about to start up again — three more hours of Internet marketing strategy — yeah. At least I’m not the one a home telling the boys why they might not enjoy corn beef and peanut butter sandwiches.

About Me

I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week.  Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
