Birthday/Mother’s Day …

My Mother’s/Birthday was a quiet affair — that’s what I wanted. The boys fixed me a gourmet breakfast of jelly bean pancakes and an interesting assortment of poached eggs (took a bit to recover from breakfast). Matt’s parents came down for dinner at Sprio’s (a Greek place with awesome gyros). I’ve been less than excited at the prospect of turning 35 and coupled with missing my Mom I really just wanted the whole day just to disappear. It’s not rational, I know. Some things just aren’t. Thank you to Matt for dealing with me, I know the past few weeks have been difficult with me and I can’t begin to express my appreciation for all he does for me.

    35 hit me hard too – I felt like my warranty had suddenly expired. I think the fives are worse than the multiples of ten, but I don’t know why that is.

About Me

I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week.  Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
