At a garage sale last summer I got a box of about 50 kids audio tapes — a great deal if you have a tape player still. Anyway, in the car we were listening to a sing-along version of “Yankee Doodle” which of course could not be accepted as just a funky little song by Morgan.
“What color was the feather in his hat?”
“Why would you call a feather macaroni?”
“Who is Yankee Doodle?
“What does dandy mean?”
OMG — Of course “My bonnie lies over the ocean” was the next little ditty.
