We’re taking Morgan in for surgery on Thursday to remove a dermoid cyst by this left eye. It’s a relatively simple procedure. They will go in through his eyelid and remove it that way to control scarring. It will be done as an out-patient procedure at St. John’s here in St. Louis, a well-known facility. I’m not really worried about it — trying to keep it dry and keep Morgan’s hands off the bandage will be the hard part.
We went for a tour of the facility yesterday and they gave the boys a chance to handle the different apparatus and see everything for themselves. Tyler has been very concerned about his little brother hurting through the whole thing — I’m hoping the tour helped. If nothing else Tyler is extremely jealous that Morgan got a teddy bear out of the deal and he didn’t.
Wish us luck — it can’t hurt.

About Me
I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week. Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
