Life With Boys

The mis-adventures of two crazy boys and their bleary eyed parents.

So, How Do You Get Blue Bubble Bath Out Of The Carpet?

So just how are you supposed to get blue bubble bath that looks like a large melted blue raspberry icee was hit by a small atomic bomb out of the carpet?

Let me back up a little. Every night I go over “the rules” with Tyler before bed.

“Is it time to get toys out?” No.
“Is it time to make a mess of your room?”
“Who loves you today?” Mommy.

Guess I should have included, “Is it OK to get into the medicine cabinet and get the whale bubble bath out and is it OK to go into Mom’s craft room to get the extra sharp scissors to you can jab them into the before mentioned bubble bath.” The devil is in the details.

Morgan had just finished his 70th round of “No More Monkeys Jumping On The Bed” when the screaming started. I figured Morgan was mad ’cause I wasn’t letting him come back downstairs — but then I soon realized it was Tyler. Tyler with a blood curdling scream — flying up the stairs I go.

Turns out Tyler has so much bubble bath on his hands that he can’t turn the door know — which has put him into hysterics. But of course i don’t know what the slime was in the dark, could have been blood for all of that kind of screaming.

Matt was out of course (nothing ever happens when you have reinforcements.)

So I called Mike, “Just how do you get blue bubble bath out of the cream colored carpet? It’s not like I can add more soap.” We decide on dumping large quantities of water on the stains and sopping is up with towels — which the boys LOVED! Purposely pouring water on the floor and getting every towel in the house soaked.

Time to pull out the carpet cleaner — which I have no idea how to use ’cause floors are not my job. After I finally get going Matt comes in to tell me that the lights are on in the boys rooms.

About Me

I started this site so my mom could get news about her grandkids without me having to walk her through the process of trying to open and email attachment several times a week.  Since then she has passed away and I’ve fallen off the blog wagon, but I’m inspired to pick it up again now.
