3 a.m.
We’re sitting on the couch hoping to keep down the feeding we’ve spent the last 20 minutes trying to get in you. So you’re sitting upright in my lap, snoring and gurgling little gas smiles now and then. You haven’t mastered smiles yet – can’t wait until you have. This whole process of giving birth – of creating a human is so amazing to me. I sit and look at you and wonder what your future holds. All I can promise is that we’ll do what we can to support you and we will move mountains to help you achieve your dreams. I love you. I love who you have helped me to become, thank you. Thank you for your patience as I learn to juggle your needs with those of your brother and everything else. Thank you for reminding me what is most important. I love you.
